NEW HOUSE!!

We bought a house! This has been the most frustrating experience, but also fun. Trying to find a house that was decent, and had everything we wanted was just a task in a half. The market is a Sellers market and it's VERY competitive. We put in 2 other offers before we actually got the house last Tuesday, which makes a total of 3 OFFERS. The houses that we put offers in were selling for a good 10 thousand more then asking. Thomas ended up find a couple houses on a website called Grapevine. For those of you who don't know what it is, it's Similar to MLS except these people listing through grapevine don't have an agent. They accept buyers with agents, but sometimes can be bitches about commission. We looked at the house last Tuesday with our agent and she was very IFFY about going through Grapevine, understandable negotiating commission can be a pain. Soooo we went, looked at it and knew RIGHT away we wanted it. We left and got our Third offer all ready for the sellers. They came back with a counter offer and WE accepted, our agent even got her 2.5% commission she wanted. EVERYONE was excited, the long awaited house was finally here. This house we bought, is even better then the two others we put offers in. We had our inspection on Saturday and everything looks good. We take possession May 2oth, which gives us a month before Baby comes.

We were both super stressed because right now we're living in a one bedroom Spacious apartment, but only spacious without baby stuff. Because of having such bad luck with house hunting we were getting to the point where we were going to give up and just try and find a 2-3 bedroom apartment in our building.

Our house is a town house, end unit, Garage, 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, it's a mulit-leveled house with 4 stories high and an unfinished basement. It has a fenced in backyard with a deck. It's an awesome house. We can't wait to move in.

A new house is so exciting. Congratulations. Don't be so sure about that month before baby arrives. I know so many people who ended up delivering on moving day.

So long as you stick with it for 3 years or longer, buying is usually a good choice. So I hope this works out great for you!
